The learner support materials will be made up of three workbooks that will cover:

Workbook 1
Unit 1: Understanding the Prevent Duty

•  Understand the prevent duty

•  Understand the terms radicalisation, extremism and terrorism

•  Understand how to reduce the risk of radicalisation

Workbook 2
Unit 2: Understanding Safeguarding

•  Understand the term safeguarding

•  Understand the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse

•  Know how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm

•  Know how to respond if abuse or harm is disclosed, suspected or alleged

Workbook 3
Unit 3: Understanding Online Safety

•  Understand the potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity

•  Understand how to reduce the risks posed online

•  Know about potential signs and behavioural changes that could cause concern

Course overview:

Official data showed that over 7,500 people were referred to the Prevent programme in 2015/16. The purpose of this qualification is to support anyone who is responsible for the safeguarding of people and for helping prevent radicalisation. It gives learners an understanding of recognising the signs of abuse, how to reduce the risk of radicalisation and the potential consequences of illegal online activity.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be aged 19 or over based on the academic year. 
Candidates must be employed or in receipt of benefits, evidence of this may be required. 
Candidates must have lived in the EU for the last 3 years. 
Candidates should inform We Find Any Learner of any other course/educational programme they may be studying.
